Kapai
The 2nd of a “variety pack” of six Tuatara beers. Drank it while cooking for the first time from our little gas stove, which took an hour to boil water.
A chronicle of our travels around the world
As I travel I thought it fun to take a picture of all the different types of beer I try. This section shows these photos, plus anything I may remember about the beer. As you will find out, my “reviews” are far from informative and would no way be of any help in offering a recommendation as to what’s good or bad.

Part of a “variety pack” of six Tuatara beers. I don’t remember at all what it tasted like, just that I finished off two of them before our kettle finished boiling.
My favorite beer so far. Very hoppy, lots of flavor and a kick like Goose Island.
I drank this at a tapas bar, and it went down well with the patatas bravas.
A delicious beer that was full of hoppy goodness. Glad I bought the six-pack!
One of the first beers bought from a grocery store in Auckland, this beer was a disappointing, as there was less flavor than expected from a normal IPA. Still, it was a refreshing reward from our first every grocery shopping run.
