Brewer’s Blurb:
Hanalei Island IPA is an easy-drinking, sessionable beer that combines the hoppy aroma of an IPA with a tropical Hawaiian twist. Passionfruit, orange and guava balance the hops to deliver a coppery, session-style ale that reflects the flavors and spirit of the islands.
Michael’s Notes:
I had this at the Longboard Bar & Grill in Townsville, on the East coast of Australia. It was a Hawaiian themed restaurant that served delicious tacos and some imported beer from Hawaii. We were there in the late afternoon on New Year's Eve, just as they were setting things up. So, although the place was empty, you knew there was going to be a big party happening there later. The beer itself was delicious, but was probably because we had walked a lot at it was a hot day. Extra points for the colourful label!
